Hi I've been having problems when playing games where the framerate is 20-40 fps lower than it should be. The FPS on COD:MW and WAW should range between 50-70 but its dropping below 30. Does anybody know what might cause this problem. I did have a problem before that I posted here in which I had the setting to "quiet office" but I've double checked to make sure its on high performance. The graphic card that the laptop uses is a 9800m gs.
    Thank you for your time.

That happens when your computer is overheating.

Does that happen permamently or does it happen after its been on for awhile. The framerate drops even when the laptop hasn't been on for awhile. The graphics card is only at 60 degrees and nothing else in the laptop is going above that temperature.

After about a minute or two of gaming the framerate can drop due to temperature. However, 60C isn't considered overheating. Is it slow from the start?

Yeah It goes through the menus at 60FPS but as soon as I'm in game it drops down to 20-30 FPS. There aren't any artifacts either so I'm not sure if its overheating.

    Thanks again.

60C is my laptops general temperature, I just figured out my laptop is overheating.

I would check my drivers if you recently installed windows 7. There is a beta driver for the 9800gs that worked much better for me.
