Right now, eBay has a BuyItNow auction for the G50VT-X1 models for $729.00. It also looks as though this model is eligible for MS Cash Back. All said and done, it looks as though after tax and cash back it would cost about $700.
The "problem" is that these are refurbished models.
Has anyone purchased from Best Buy Outlet on eBay? do they ship quickly? Anyone ever need to return one? Good customer support?
The X5 with tax will run about $950 from the store, so the $700 seems to be a pretty good deal for the X1, even as a refurb.
Thoughts? Thanks all.

Refurbished Laptops without a Full warranty are always a bad idea IMO as Your first problem almost always happen within one year. Used laptops are only a good idea if there from a TRUSTED source IE HIGH rep private Ebay seller/High Rep forums user. I'd sooner reccomend a used one then a refurbished though. A used one the one year ASUS warranty on the X-1 is transferable where as a refurb you only get 30-90 days and your warranty is typically offered from the seller not ASUS directly.

Thanks for the info. Good points regarding the used vs refurbished models.
