I am looking at getting either machine. It looks like the major difference between the older one and newer one is video card. Nvidia 9700 GT vs 9800 GS. Is there that much of a difference between machines to justify spending the extra money for the newer version?

    Any comments greatly appreciated.

the new version only cost about 60 dollar more. I would go with the new version. Plus the new version has 7200rpm drives.

Thanks for the replies. The G50V's are coming down in price and the difference is around $200-$300 now.
