Okay I have G50vtx1, however I messed with the Direct console to disable the side blue lights. Is there anyway to disable the "Express Gate" light. That thing is always on, even if my laptop is turned off!.

Also is there anyway to disable the logo light and the light underneath the logo?
If it means uninstalling something I will.
My laptop is always on so that light annoys me so much.
Also people in my CPSC class are complaining about it.

Please any help I would greatly appreciate it.

Unlikely that there will ever be a way to turn off the Expressgate light, since the whole premise is for the noob user to use the easy "press a single button" feature. I think the light is actually hardwired into the system, so short of some physical circuit mods, I doubt Asus will ever have a BIOS update that fixes this "problem". I personally prefer using a regular power button and selecting an alternate OS from a boot menu, but remember, Expressgate is meant to cater to users at all levels of experience. As for battery consumption, I believe I once read that it eats around 5% a day.

Don't worry about the people in your class. They are just jealous that your notebook is better than your's. You should turn the lights to party strobe mode - wow, I'm evil:laugh:
