After doing some research, If I am right the ASUS G51JX-A1 is asus' highest 15.6in performance laptop.

Could somebody please help me. I would like to know where this model is available to buy in the uk and if it is not yet released, when and where could i buy it from.

I know I can buy it from xotic pc etc. but I will have to pay extra 'customs' charges and so on could somebody please direct me, thanks.

The Sager NP8690 is probably a little better than the ASUS because the video card is better (GTX280M vs GTS360M). Other than the card, the tech specs seem to be around the same.

I would think the G51J-A1 is still Asus's powerhouse 15.6in laptop although it has the bsod issue which from reading seems to be fixed now.
The G51JX-A1 has only 1 hdd and an inferior graphics card it has more ram off the bat but you could always upgrade that. Only real benefit I see is the blu-ray drive which to me is a write off a blu-ray burner on the other hand would have been awesome.
