    Hi all,

Figured this would be one of the best places to ask. After a lot of looking around, settled on either the ASUS G51Jx-A1 or the Alienware M11x based upon specs. The ASUS I think has won out as the leading spec for M11x (the size) is no longer as much a concern.

I have 2 questions that I'm looking for some advice on.

    1) Is it worth purchasing from someone like Xotic or GenTech and having them upgrade the thermal paste from the stock? I've no intention of overclocking, and only games I'll be playing are: EVE/ME2/DA:O/SINS. I build my own desktops, and always upgrade the paste, just not sure if it's necessary with this laptop. Also, if one of those 2 vendors does it, will it void the warranty if they do it?

    2) What's the easiest way to get Windows 7 Professional on it if I don't go with a vendor upgrading it? Just image the machine out of the box, then run MS Win7 Upgrade on Demand from the default Home Premium?

Thanks for any help, I appreciate it!

    Regards,
