    Hey guys,

I have a strange issue I was hoping I could get some help on. I originally bought an MSI GE600 laptop. The laptop BSOD'd on me on the first boot and didn't stop there. I was eventually able to boot it up and connect it to my tv via HDMI to input 4 and it worked really well.

I now returned that laptop and replaced it with a G60JX. When I connected the HDMI to my tv and restarted the computer to force tv detection, it would detect the tv but no image appeared. I switched the HDMI cable into input 5 (my tv has 3 hdmi inputs), all of a sudden I could see my desktop on the tv. I don't understand why the laptop would b able to output to input 5, but not 4? Both inputs are HDMI.

Is this a laptop problem or a tv problem? The image is crystal clear on input 5.

    Thanks for the help.

i'm guessing it's a TV input problem, try hooking up something else using the other HDMI connectors to see if that's it.

Very strange. Plugged the blu ray player into input 4 hdmi, and the tv picks it up no problem. Oh well I guess at least it works sort of...

I saw a post somewhere where it turned out that the Nvidia settings were incorrect. Go into your Nvidia control/settings and make sure that the displays option is for multiple displays.

    Good luck!
