Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like once in a while there is letters appearing twice when I only press the key once.

Is there a fix for this? I am sick of double typing.

Usually a reboot fixes it for me. Don't ask me why.

This is "problem" on almost every Asus laptop, come to find out from other people that it is user error. Don't kill me yet though, it has been mentioned and talked about already in the G71 thread many times. I think some have mentioned you can delay the key presses or get use to the way the keyboard works (or do what Nothing is Real suggested). Sorry I can't be anymore helpful than that (I'm a prior "wanted to get G71GX-RX05" laptop seeker), hopefully someone can explain a bit better...

So far so good here. I remember having a double typing problem with a eclipse II keyboard on my other rig and I fixed that hitting the faulty key several times (kind of hard) and the issue disappeared. Maybe a problem with the membrane? Don't know.

    Regards - ImBad

I'm pretty sure it's not my typing because I have several laptops and this is the only one with the double typing issue.
