OK after weeks of looking at notebooks settled on ASUS UX501VW only to find there are lots of different model numbers both worldwide and regionally. I'm British but living in France so in France alone I have come across many different model number, I have even called ASUS to ask them to enlighten me and got given the parts website! I would like the 512gb SSD version and can find at least two model numbers for these. Does anyone actually know what they all mean or is there equation we have to do to work it out?
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately the DS71T is the US version and is not available in France, each country have different model numbers I'm not sure what the equivalent is which is the problem :-(

@KWITHAMS - It looks like the model pertaining to what you're looking for would be the UX501VW-FI094R. Searching from my locale makes weeding through it all a little more convoluted though. You may be better off calling or emailing Asus sales support to get a straightforward and fast answer.

In part the varying modelnumbers are due to different keyboard layouts. (if the laptop otherwise has the same spec that is)
From another thread the UX501VW-FJ098T is for the UK, Scandinavia has the FI099T. Both are the 512gb version.
