I have an Asus K60IJ with an Elan touchpad version 7.0.5.9 (I think this is the most updated version). I'm not sure whether or not this is an issue for Firefox or Elan, but we'll see, hopefully.

I use two finger scrolling and in my touchpad settings, I've also got horizontal scrolling enabled. Often when I visit certain websites, as I scroll down the page, it interprets it as a "back" or "forward" when I don't want it to. However, it doesn't go back or forward in my browser's history. It will go back/forward through a website. For example, viewing photo albums on Facebook, I'll scroll down to see the rest of the picture, and suddenly it's taking me forward 20 pictures into the album. Reading certain forums or on sites like Stumble Upon, scrolling down or up (which I do at an angle, as I'm sure everyone else does -- no one scrolls perfectly straight), it takes me to the next page in a forum thread, or even to the next comment (which will appear in the URL bar with the # in front of the linked comment number).

This is unbelievably annoying. It's incredibly sensitive. I have no options in my touchpad menu to disable or enable the "back/forward swipe" feature. It's just there. But it's not every website, just a few. I have no idea how to fix this. I've googled it and tried messing around with the mouse settings in Firefox's about:config (nokey action on all is set to 0, sysnumline set to true, numline is 1), but it does absolutely nothing.

Any info on how to stop all back/forward swipe scrolling would be awesome. I never ever want or use this feature. The only thing that has worked is to disable horizontal scrolling altogether, which I DON'T want to do, since it's very useful, obviously. Thanks!
