This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    While looking for a new laptop (W3J) I decided to look for a new monitor and decided on the ASUS PM17TU 17" ( http://usa.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=10&l2=85&l3=0&model=773&modelmenu=1)

    I purchased the monitor from PROPortable for $319 plus shipping, and it was at my door 2 days later. Setup was simple, used DVI, and let me say it is GORGEOUS. I can basically be anywhere in my room and the screen is crystal clear and all the colors are vibrant. I watched a movie I hadn't seen in a while and didn't realize how washed out my old monitor was until I saw it again on the ASUS. I haven't had a chance to do any gaming on it yet, but I"ll let you know when I do :)
