The drivers on the 32bit CD will work just fine in 64bit.
Moving to main ASUS section (this is the wrong section). -
is this true? really? can anyone else confirm this, because this is a first time i hear that

My G71V arrived with a driver DVD that listed 32 / 64 bit drivers.
I reloaded to Vista 64 and true to their word all drivers and software needed were on the disc. -
Ken from GenTechPC confirmed it, and I believe him.
But have a look at the M50V review and owner lounge threads, by all means, probably people have posted about this in some of the endless string of thread pages.

but this model is different M50Vm-B1 from yout G71v, did yours come with 32bit vista installed? so you guys reformatted and installed 64bit and the drivers all worked, did i understand that correct?

sorry for double quote, he confirmed that on the model i am buying i can install 64bit vista and all the drivers from 32bit version are usable with no issues whatsoever including the VGA driver?

The VGA driver is not an issue, it can be taken from laptopvideo2go. I don't know that he confirmed specifically for your submodel, but I remember he confirmed for M50Vm. Why don't you just PM him and ask? He's a nice helpful person and will reply to you with all the information you need.

Yes, it arrived with Vista Home Prem 32bit and I re-installed Vista Ultimate 64bit.
If you really want to check, goto asus's support page and look at the Vista 64 drivers, all are listed.
I think all Asus laptops are now getting released with 32 and 64bit drivers as standard.
