turning on the laptop gpu idles at 63 and the cpu 65.. however during gameplay after a couple of minutes the temps go nutss.. gpu goes over 100 degrees where as the cpu is around 96.. I removed the back cover of the laptop to check if the fan is working right. Nothing seems wrong with it though.. I'm clueless right now.. any suggestionss?? =)
im using windows xp 32 bit sp2..

edit: one thing i noticed is that i can't feel the air coming through the vent from the left side.. the fan is working it does throttle up to higher speeds but i can't feel any air comig when i place my hand near the vent

Have you tried cleaning out your vents?

to do that i would have to disassemble the whole unit, taking out the back cover doesnt let me reach the vent.. and, that might avoid the warranty? =)

Usually cleaning it out just entails shooting some air through the vents. You can get a can of compressed air at any electronics store for ~$5 or just exercise your lungs really well. :)

Well actually blowing isn't going to do too much good.

I would advise trying to get to the fan, and if you can't remove, just get some Q-tips, dip them in sanitary alcohol, then go (gently) through the fan blades, cleaning their surfaces; also try to get to the heat radiator (where the fan pushes the air) like that, since that's where most dust collects.
