I just got my ASUS M6Ne laptop with these specs:
    Intel Pentium M 715 (Dothan 1.5)
    512 MB PC2700 RAM
Samsung SpinpointM 40 G HD with 8M Cache
    IntelPRO2200 wireless

    Here's my review.

SCREEN: It's a nice crisp LCD screen... matches the quality of 17" LG LCD monitor. Even though I have two dead pixels (one red and the other one green), I barely notice them. THe red one is at the top left of the screen, and the green one is near the bottom right of the screen.

HEAT: The bottom does get quite hot, so I'd advise you not to actually put it on your lap for too long of a period. THe only places where I really feel heat are the right vent and the bottom.

SOUND: Typical of notebook computers... not the greatest, but still acceptable.

SILENCE: I'd say it's one of the quieter notebooks I've seen. The fan on low speed is nearly inaudible.. I can barely hear it NOW, and it's 2:05AM here. During the day, it should be silent.

WEIGHT: rougly 6 pounds. Not the lightest of notebooks, so if you're looking for something to take with you all day long, I'd recommend something like the M5N. This is more of an office type notebook.. or a desktop replacement. However, it's good for an occasional trip :D

BATTERY: Haven't used it yet... from what I read from others, I should expect about 4 hours of "office" use. Sounds good to me.

BUILD QUALITY: Very good. It feels quite solid, and looks real nice.

    OVERALL RATING: 8.5/10

    PROS:
    good for desktop replacement
    lots of upgrade room
    very quiet
    not too heavy

    CONS:
    dead pixels
    could be lighter
could be a tad bit thinner
