Hi Folks, first time posting and I am praying someone can help!

I have the ASUS N55-sf, Core i7 2670QM with GeForce GT 555M lappy which has proved faultless over the last 18 months of gaming and use, but of late, it has begun to slow to a crawl.
Initially I believed it was related to Windows 8.1 problems, so installed Win7 again, all to no avail.

I then installed CPUID, and it is showing all four core temperatures of over 90 degrees C, with the graphics chip running along at around 86 degrees C just idling.

I have since re-applied thermal compound, which worked for about a day at best, and then back to normal cooking eggs temperatures.

Can anyone shed any light, or offer any advice on to what to do/why this is happening?

    Thanks,

    Chris
