    Have you done any OC? That could be Overheat, or some unstable/defective VRAM. Tho those dont look like normal artifacts... I would bet Defective GPU Core or even the GPU itself?

    Totally wrong, it's a cpu defect.

    GPU definitely, check your temps. It looks like it's overheating. Borderlands is really rough on my GPU also, since it's not very CPU heavy but very GPU heavy. It makes the graphics card heat up more than a CPU-limited game.

    I can't tell if kbs is serious or trolling.

    WMP uses GPU-accelerated codecs also, so it's a related problem. What is strange though is that you're getting artifacts just from playing video... does it happen immediately? I wouldn't expect the GPU to be taxed a lot even if it were playing 1080p video.

    Mmmm... Try this :

    Download Furmark. It is a stability test. Run it for like 10-15 mins, and tell us if you had those screen probs.
    Good luck!

    I am VERY sorry to say this, but you have a HUGE problem with your GPU.
    1) Artifacts. LOTS of them. Means the VRAM is faulty, even being in stock clocks.
    2) The FPS are TOO LOW. I have AT LEAST 60 FPS, meaning there is definatly something wrong. ( I have the same GPU )

    That GPU is totally broken. Sorry to say this, but you need to take it to your retailer and/or RMA it.
    Show the artifacts to the retailer.

    Best of luck!

    There are many factors :

    Overclocking gone wrong ( vram overclocking );
    Faulty VRAM;
    Faulty cooling;
    Faulty GPU;
    Faulty heatsink causing overheat...

    So basically, if you didn't overclock, then it was not your fault. Only if you put your laptop in a place where it couldn't "breathe", causing it to overheat.
