Hallo everyone! Excuse my bad english, but I will try to describe my problem and hopefully someone can help.

I bought N76VZ with preinstaled Win 8 x64. Day later I`ve change the first HDD (with Win 8 on it) with Samsung 516 GB SSD(on the right side) and made clear instalation of Win 7 on it.
The drivers on the disk in the package are only for Win 8 so I went to Asus support page and downloaded all drivers for Win 7 x64.
Everything was fine untill I updated the BIOS driver version from 211 to 213!
With settings in the BIOS IDE(in place of AHCI), Secure boot disabled and CMS enabled and reinstaling Win 7(installing without the second HDD in the system and after instalation was complete - puting it in place again) now everything is ok but...the second HDD (1TB) doesn`t show up in My Computer. On Disk Manager is showing without drive letter. After giving drive letter and name its showing, but after rebooting its doesn`t showing on My Computer again!
I tried changing IDE to AHCI in the BIOS, reinstalling Intel chipset drivers and Intel Rapid Storage Technology , also I tried to downgrade the BIOS to 211 version with WinFlash(I didn`t manage to get wotking) but nothing helps!!!
I think the problem is in the BIOS version, but I am niewbie and any help is welcome!

    Thanx

Edit: I have succeeded to downgrade my BIOS from 213 to 211 version with WinFlash from Win 7, but the problem is still existing.

You may need to format the second drive so that it has the file system. Then Windows should assign it a drive letter.

Then it could be a potential firmware issue. You can try contacting Asus and/or customer support for the hard drive manufacturer, or check their downloads/support page for firmware upgrades to see if that resolves any potential incompatibility.

Does the disk show up in BIOS? And is it set as GPT or MBR?

Ok, I will try to update the firmware of the HDD.
The disk is presenting in the BIOS. On the Disk Managment I see it is set as MBR. Like the SSD. Could this be the problem and how can I make the changes?

It's possible. GPT is designed in mind to replace MBR. You can try reformatting both drives for GPT if a firmware update does not help. :) You may want to ask Asus if they know why the second drive is not functioning properly under Windows too (but Asus might tell you it's Windows' fault, or the hard drive's fault, not theirs).

Doesn`t help :(. Firmware of the SSD -->updated, of the HDD not, because no newer version.
Next step is to wright to ASUS, but I am pesimistic on that.

    Thank you

Haha, nobody likes to RMA their baby. :D Hopefully they can provide support without the need for you to send it in for service. Let us know what turns up!
