They want to get rid of all the stock before the W3j comes in ^^

Hahahaha, hey man, if they drop it any lower than 1,499... that's tempting =)

Even though I'm pretty devoted to the W3J... money is hard to come by.

v6va is cheap too, but the v6j / w3j have such a great improvement over the previous models. Good find.

The deals are smoking right now - if you don't need to game or do HEAVY work, they're something to think about.

Yeah, but the new ones are so pretty (being careful not to drool on V6j)...

I suppose all technology comes down in price eventually - all a matter of choice. I would go for the W3j - but thats just cause I like to have a nicely spec'd laptop. Do whatever you have to at the time, there will always be new technology, so who cares if yours is 8 minutes older?

Haahaha, don't worry, sticking with the W3J ... unless the W3V is going to be way cheap, then I can't resist =)

Yeah... Some of Asus' distributors still have a lot of the W3v's and Asus tried to help them by lowering the price....... not really a big deal because they just stopped the rebates they were offering and made dropped the price instead.... so it's really no better than it's been for the last couple months.

Publishing error =) See how the W2V is supposed to be in the first row? Got pushed down to the second row... a table thing on html and whatnot.

S'all good, still got to love ASUS for their build not their site design

^ I think Justin/ProPortable had their last one w/ an IPS screen a few weeks back...maybe drop him a note and see if he still has it (unlikely but worth a shot I suppose)?

Looks like they do too...I'd call to confirm b/f ordering of course. Also I'm not sure if it's an IPS, but I recollect reading all for the US were so.

Not to advertise there, but the cute thing is that the v6va is oddly 39 dollars cheaper than the v6j, (or shall i say that the v6j is 39 dollars more)

the v6va has a better screen and better at gaming. so its tradeoff. also any of the north america ones are going to be IPS.

I have a V6Va I'd like to sell. I actually got it basically brand new from SRD about 2 months ago. I'm only selling it because I'd rather have the MacBook (I wasn't expecting them to dual boot so soon). It's still in fantastic shape and has had light use. It has the IPS screen too. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Don't create a wanna-sell page yet! Fill us in on the details.

How much left on warranty? Any pics ?
The weird part is that you'd want a macbook ... lol don't those things cook ?

SRD should actually know exactly how much is left on the warranty because I bought it from him right after he bought it. There should be about 20 months left on warrany I'm guessing. I will try to take some pics tonight but it still looks brand new and just like any other V6Va.
