Pic of a 4870X2 in there (sorry, the ATI Reps would not let us run benches or remove it from the case for better pics).

Also some pics of the G50V in there as well.

That means the demo is worthless. Seriously, if you cannot see how well it works....that makes me think they don't want people to see that the XG is a failure.

I'm not paying any more attention to the XG until a reputable review is done. :p

I would not say that too fast.

The rep agreed to get a card in our hands for testing.

In the past, when AMD/ATI products suck, they don't do that. Period.

There are two more days until the convention ends, so I'm sure ASUS rep will demo some of their new products.

    I hope so!

You'll have to forgive my cynicism on this one. ASUS has been touting the XG station as "coming soon" since before I became a moderator. I think the rumors started shortly after I joined NBR!

the XG station is released already... have not found benches for it yet...

i believe the 8600 card is not upgradable... since it'll require a firmware update... hope someone who has one can verify within the manual...

They broke one of them apart or something similar and it was just a standard pci slot and they tossed a couple of higher cards in it. They said the max performance was just above the 8600gt after that it just started to get worse do to saturation of the bandwidth or something.

We've put day 2 coverage up on the site now.

    www.xcpus.com

Compared to Day 1, there not that many events that happened, but more just a lot of SOLID gaming.
