(Ignore the fact that the picture is of Ottawa, not Toronto [xx(])

Might be cool to scope this out!

They had a similar thing in Vancouver. I heard it wasn't anything special

Well... maybe having one of these beauties (V6V, W3V) in my hands will be special enough for me.. [:D]

It wasn't anything special; but back then, the V6V, W5A, and W3V weren't around.
They had a M5Np, A6Ne, and Z71A on display... along with some wireless routers and other non-notebook things.
It was alright, but nothing spectacular

ASUS M6800Ne, P-M 1.5 Dothan, 512MB Ram, Toshiba Combo drive, Samsung Spinpoint M 40G HDD with 8M cache, Mobility Radeon 9700

    Nice...

But I think its pretty small, I've went to a small Fujitsu one at Canada Computers(the Markham one) but its wasnt much, just a few displays, and a contest though[ :p]

Mind as well check it out if i have time.

    Thanks for the info!

I haven't seen any stores with a W3 in Vancouver yet...
although V6Vs and W5As seem to be here now.

Mississauga, that's the worst, I have three Canada Computers locations right near me, they had to pick the farthest one away to hold this showcase, I guess that figures!

Right now the closest one to me said they have 2 W5's, 1 V6V and 1 W3, and are getting a whole shipment in tomorrow, so I guess I can see everything I want there instead of taking in the show...Even though It would have been nice to see anyways. They also always have the other older models on display all the time.

Thanks for the heads up though Sencha.

I still can't believe more people/(Canadians) haven't responded to my other post on the Canadian charcoal W5's and W3V specs!!!
(I thought It was big news???)

Since we're just getting them here in Toronto, you should have them any second now over there...I can't see it being much longer at all...I've been waiting so long for them to arrive, I'm starting to get kinda excited about actually holding one in person and feeling the weight and using the keyboard etc...everything I've wanted to know all along from others I'll get to answer myself first hand! It's going to be good, I'll let everyone know what I think! [8D]

I think I will go to the show because they will probably have the machines plugged in and actually running and you'll be able to use them and actually see how they are rather that just look at them in a display case. I've been to a Canada Computers once and it was kind of a disaster area and everyone was so busy you couldn't find anyone to actually let you handle the computers. They were just in a display case and I can imagine if you wanted them to plug one in for you they might not do that. So I figure at this showcase they will be more accessible and I would love to check out all of the ASUS models in person.

My internet has been down for over three days now, I have so much catching up to do...

Anyways, for those interested, I just found out that ASUS is holding ANOTHER product showcase at my local CanadaComputers. It's at the Newtonbrook Plaza location in North York on May 27th and 28th (Fri&Sat.) I'm definitely going to check this one out, chances are I'll end up buying my laptop right then and there.

That's it for now, just thought I'd let everyone interested know!!!
