Before all of this I understand that running 64 bit on this laptop, you can run into problems...This being said I present the following.

I did a clean reinstall with Vista Ultimate 64 bit on the M51Sn-X2 that i got from newegg. I was able to use the driver CD to get everything up to speed but the only problems I ran into were with the touchpad driver, and the Asus SmartLogon. The Touchpad driver wouldn't install from the CD, im assuming it wasn't optimized for 64 bit like most of them. The other issue was the ASUS SmartLong Manager. I got that installed fine. I can capture images, and go into it when im logged into Vista. I just can't figure out how to enable it to show up on the login splash screen before you are actually logged into Vista. I have the fingerprint reader configured just to note, but at the SmartLogon will not load and start the webcam, it looks just like a normal login splash screen with the option of either the fingerprint method or just manually typing in your password. I want the Camera and the screen to be up at logon to serve its purpose. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. If not, ill just live without it for now.

Hi, I know this will not help the original problem but that smart logon is just not secure... anyone with a photo of you can log into the machine. You're better off using a password.
