I recently bought an ASUS Transformer Book TP500LA. So far I'm quite satisfied with this convertible notebook, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING: The fan makes a lot of noise and is running almost all the time, even when there is very low activity on the CPU. I've downloaded SpeedFan. I'm not able to change any settings, but I can monitor the temperatures and it shows HD0 30C, Temp1: 38C, Core0 18C and Core1 22C, it's not varies that much. (there is also a 24 GB SSD drive for cache not monitored in SpeedFan but I'll guess this is normal?)

I've tried to make some changes in the power management settings, downloaded and flashed the latest BIOS version, without any changes.
I've sent an e-mail to the local ASUS support, but the only answer I got, was to contact the reseller and try to return it. I've bought it online and that would mean sending parcels back and forth and then I'm not sure this is a hardware issue.

Anybody else having this issue? Any suggestions on what could cause this problem and how to solve it? Could it be a hardware issue, which means I should get it returned?
