Im sure that the turbo gear has caused this to happen, as it was one of the first things i installed after installing XP

After i login turbo gear folder opens up mysteriously, anyone with the same problem? I have tried the following things without sucess:

Removing any turbo gear entry in startup folder
running msconfig and going to startup tab and unchecking turbo gear and gearhelp and restarting the pc (didn't work)

running msinfo32 and see if there was something suspicious at start programs, there wasn't... (didn't work)
lastly, i tried regedit32, and tried to change/remove several keys without success including:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and adding " " between any turbo gear string entrys...Nothing....Ideas anyone? However this doesn't happen in vista, and the installation files are the same ( thus different OS )

I find weird how no one has replyed yet....i know, maybe most of you are using Vista, well i just found out the problem, so in case anyone else has the same problem, you:

    Download Autostart Utilities from microsoft:

    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/Utilities/AutoRuns.mspx

then, in this case you edit the turbo gear enhanced vga registry entry to add "" outside the path, for instance:

"C:\Program Files\ASUS\Turbo Gear Enhanced VGA etc"

not adding the " " outside the path, makes XP ( for a reason i can tell ) get to Turbo Gear, but kind of not processing the words after it, thus, opening Turbo Gear Folder

ok! so the culprit was not "Turbo Gear" folder really, but "Turbo Gear Enhanced VGA Utilities" folder :)

I have the problem if I boot into xp to play a game once in a blue moon but I never had it bother me, just a 2 second click on the close button ands its gone.

This will be a good thing to add to the common problems and fixes thread tho.
