So I decided to have something which much more lighter compare to my 3 kg TM8200.

After days of searching, i found my future mate Asus U1.
it has everything I dream of.

But when I approached local reseller, they said it has been discontinued.

is this true? I dont have any other candidate now.

why they killed such preety little thing at very young age

I don't know if its discontinued, but you can definately find it here in Canada. My guess is also that the reseller you contacted could not find it in their inventory or from their supplier, so made that reason up. I have experienced this type of thing before.

You might be interested in the U2, which is the successor of the U1 with new processor support. Infact, the U2 also comes with an optical drive, which the U1 lacked, yet still within it's same small package.

Yes, its been discontinued and replaced by the U2 series which adds an optical drive. I'm also impressed it can be upgraded up to 4gb of ram and has a mini-DVI and VGA for video-out vs just VGA in the similar 11.1" Vaio TZ and has the newer Santa Rosa chipset vs Napa in TZ.

The U1 lasted about a year, was announced around CES 2007 and the U2 was announced around CES 2008.

There are quite a few stores online at least still selling it.

Anyone here knows the battery life of U1 espc with 6 cells.

Some review said only 3 ours while other mentions up to 6

I would say (up to) 3 hours looks more realistic for an ASUS notebook. Although with a larger number of cells, you might get more.

Probably those reviews were quoting numbers for batts with different # of cells.

In any case, read USER reviews which report REAL numbers and not those marketing reviews that just praise the notebook and how great it is, quoting "up to" numbers from the spec sheet.
