    Hello all!

I've been following a few threads here with much interest, so I thought I'd register and join the fray with my own questions.

After many a week of researching laptops online and in-store, I found my dream laptop (for the next 2-3 years) - the ASUS U36JC!

It's a beautiful machine, but it seems to be available in the USA only atm, which is extremely aggravating as I live in the UK and I don't want to pay for both shipping costs and the taxes that customs will levy when they get their greedy paws on it.

So, my question is: does ASUS have any plans to release the U36JC in Europe or the UK anytime soon?

Hey! I've been having the same problem of wanting the u36jc in the UK for a while now too. It is available in germnay and can be ordered from various german websites which offer uk delivery. However the keyboard would be different and confusing. That's why I decided to tale the plunge and order from the us, off the bhphotovideo website. They also offer international delivery but crucially they claim to take care of paying tax and customs when the laptop reaches the uk. Quite nervous/exciting to see how it'll all work out, I'll write back next week when (fingers crossed) I have it!

Oh I forgot to say according to the only British website even recognising the existence of the u36jc ( New releases - Asus U36JC - Asus Laptop - UK Best Deal Sale Laptops Buy Notebook Computer Discount UK - Buy On-Line Laptops and Accessories for Business and Home) have told me personally that it won't be avaiable til at least Q2 2011, which equates to a good few 2-4 (even 5?!) months, hence why I've order from the USA
