I have an Asus 45JC for 1 year. Just today, i started hearing a constant beeping sound on my laptop. It beens once every 10-15 seconds everytime. Is there a way to fix this problem?
I read someone mentioned that the hardware got fried is the reason or something like that? I can tell you that i have been doing a lot of programs on my laptop and many times it felt like my laptop is being overworked. Its an i3 processor if that matters.
Does anyone know what i can do? The only way i can fix this problem at the moment is turn my volume off. If i turn volume on, beeping sound comes back.
Does system restoring it might give a chance? What about formatting it over again?

Turning off an alarm does not clear the alarm condition......
(assuming a Windows OS) Is there anything in the system error log that might give you a clue as to what is happening.
Do a bit of research to find a program that will directly read out the internal temp sensors to see if you are overheating.
How does the system fan sound? Is the battery or ac adapter running 'hot' (a subjective thing)?
Next time the machine starts beeping, try rebooting IMMEDIATELY and then getting into the BIOS. There may be temp sensor and fan readouts there you can check. -
Yes they both run hot.
How do i go to BIOS?
And what do i do when i get there? -

That's a strange problem. A constant beep can be heard sometimes if the keyboard buffer is overloaded.
You might be able to mute the PC speaker beep in your mixer, as a workaround. -
Hi. If i do mute my volume, there is no beeping sound. But i don't like this as i like to play music on my laptop. Is formating my laptop an option?
What can i do to fix the keyboard buffer overload? -

I don't mean mute the volume for the entire mixer. If there is a separate fader or mute toggle for your PC speaker, that can be muted and probably stop the beeping. You may have to unhide it from your mixer preferences or use the advanced mixer (realtek, etc).
I am not sure if it is the keyboard buffer in your case, it's the only common thing I know that will cause a long beep like that. -
Okay thanks. Anyone else got any other recommendations?
Its not a long beep. Its like a 1 second beep. Then it stops. Then it comes back in 15-20 seconds. Then then again. Somtimes it does one in 10 seconds. Sometimes it comes back in 3 minutes. But the beep keeps coming back.
Anyone here know what i can do? -

There are no temp sensors in your BIOS setup menus to check for. Use a temperature monitoring program if you think that is the issue.
Please do not cross-post. I have merged all of this together and moved it to the appropriate forum. Thanks. -
Okay i just googled temperature moniotring program. ARe you sure that is a solution? I feel like my laptop is damaged b/c of the sound honestly.

I did not post the suggestion that it could be a temperature alarm. I was trying to follow up with your question about the temperature readout in the bios (doesn't exist in most ASUS laptop bios). Usually you computer would just shut itself off in the case of a temperature threshold being reached.
I have already given you my suggestion, to disable the PC speaker beep. I don't know what is causing the beeping to begin with, sorry. -
okay thank you. But doing this won't allow me to hear any music.
Anyone else ? -

Ah, no, I don't mean the entire speaker system, just the one volume control slider called 'PC speaker' or 'PC beep'. It's usually a separate control on either your normal windows mixer, or the more advanced software mixer like the realtek software. Here's an example:

It's in the top row, second to the right. It's just an example, you will have to look at your mixer preferences to see if it's a control you have available.
