    ASUS U56E DVD drive noises

    Hello,

    My laptop is 2 days old, and I have noticed that periodically it makes weird noises which seem to be coming from the DVD drive. It sounds as if the laptop is trying to check for a disc. The noises do not seem to depend on the laptop activity. I can be browsing the Internet and hearing this noise every 10 min or so. Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Any advice is appreciated!
