All right well after a long couple days of research I've narrowed it down to this one laptop. I've read countless reviews and the only negative things they have to say is the build quality/keyboard. This is the only thing holding my back from purchasing this notebook. Everything else is perfect from the battery, price, switchable graphics, CD/DVD drive, and portability. Build quality is kind of a big deal for me though because I will be taking this to class next year in college and it might receive some minor wear and tear. So will the ASUS be able to hold up? and if not are there any other options that are close to the UL80s specs?

The only two problems with the build quality that I have noticed are the keyboard is a little loose on the left side and the battery has a little wiggle room but both are easily fixed. Just place something thin in between the gap between the battery and the computer and pop off the keyboard and do the same.

The chassie flex is quite pronounced, but have not caused any problems for me over the last 6+ months.
My biggest issue with the UL80VT these days is the fingerprints. -
The screen is fine once calibrated
