I held off on buying a UX31 due to the bad touchpads and SSD's that people were getting.

This thread is to identify the touchpad and SSD configuration your UX31 came with so that others may have an easier time finding their own solution.

    Here's Mine

    Model: UX31-RSL8
    Purchase Date: 01/14/12
    Location: Best Buy
    Inventory Date: 01/11/12
    Touchpad: Elantech
    SSD: 128GB SanDisk u100
    Processor: i5 1.6 2467
    Batch: B010799

If there is a better way to identify which date the computer was built, be sure to post it as it is not indicated on the box.

Consider getting the inventory date from your retail store. That will at least help you get the right touchpad.

For those that do not know, the actual UX31 box is within a larger brown box. In most cases, the store will open the brown box. On the UX31 box (the one inside the brown box), there will be a sticker on the right that tells what kind of SDD is used. Most show that the ADATA is faster and so far, that appears to be my as well.

I have a 5.7 in WIE with the SDD coming in at 5.9.

Post your findings as the mail UX31 board has become very large and hard to find pre-sale information.

    Thanks in advance.

Can someone else share their specs? I am looking to track down an ElanTouch pad with the DATA HD.

    Hi all,

I have a 5.6 in WIE with the SDD showing at 7.9.

WIE takes the lowest of all

My 5.6 reading comes from Graphic. The Gaming Graphic reads at 6.3

    Sentelic TouchPad and Adata SDD

    UX31, i7 128GB SSD

    regards from Singapore
