Has anyone had any luck at reprogramming the quick launch keys? I've found a modified HControl.exe file for an ASUS M6, but nothing for the V1JP.

    Any help is appreciated

    (I've also got battery issues!!.....)

As for your battery problem, i'm sure you have read this already, but just in case, read this.

You do have a 1 year warranty on your battery, you can replace it when necessary. This will be a bit of nuisance, but Asus is working on it.

Thanks Milestone! I had read that thread. It's definitely not a battery problem...... I can run the laptop for up to 40 minutes on 0% battery power before it finally shuts down!

Sounds like you should do a battery calibration run in the bios. Press F2 during boot up, go to power, select battery calibration utility and follow its instructions. Mines can charge to 95% full.

How did a reprogramming launch key thread turn into a battery related thread? ;)

This doesn't look promising........ What software (and skills) would I need to amend the HControl.exe program. I think it's a crude program anyhow, it ought to be able to cater for customization, especially when you compare to Logitech equipment.
