Is it possible to run ASUS V1JP with two sticks : 2GB + 1GB ??
Anyone have tried such a combination ?

    1. I see no reason for which it shouldn't work.
    2. I don't know.
    3. Yes.

Bios will recognize it with no problem ? Asus always claims that V1JP supports max 2GB.

I don't think any of the newer latpops have any issues with 2GB sticks, really. But you could try one out if possible, otherwise you can wait for a reply from somebody who did try it.

The PM945 chipset supports 4GB, no matter what Asus says. The bios will recognize upto 4GB. However, if you do put in 4 GB, then the OS needs to be 64 bit to address it all. Otherwise it would be able to address 3.2 Gigs. In your case(2 + 1), there would be no problem at all.
