Is ASUS W2 really already released? I hardly found only few pics from Cebit. On asus.com there is no info about it at all. Where or... heh... when I can order or buy it?

ASUS has only showed off the W2 at CeBIT. It is not yet offically out on the market. It will probably be another 2-3 months before it will be on the market. I think Justin should know the rough ETA.

    it seems I've found ETA...

    Justin, is it true?

im now thinking of buying top-in-line W1 with configuration close to W2 have by default:
    1.8 Dothan, 512RAM, 1680x1050, 64mb video
    and its around 2700-2800$
adding 300-200$ for W2 - receiving in addition
17", bluetooth, brand-new stuff and new software with it.
and one more... is W2 bult on Sonoma (Centrino 2) or not?

The W1 is a different machine..... If you think there is no sense in getting that over a W2, then for you.... there might not be. But the W2 isn't replacing the W1... it's going to compliment it. a 15.4" widescreen and a 17" widescreen are two very different animals to carry around. Plus the price of the W2 will be higher than the W1.... battery will be less..... but visually it's just it's big brother.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Justin again you are giving wrong informations.
From asus they said the w2 is the replacement of the w1 and they prefer to go with a 17"screen.
the difference between me and you justin is that me i was in the cebit2005 and you not.
    So stop saying ridiculous stuff

Listen pal, you don't know what you're talking about.......... the W1 is not going anywhere. The W1 is getting a color shine screen on it's new version and will be here shortly after the W2.

The W2 is another model, all together. I don't know why this is a point of argument for you though....... it's not like I'm trying to push current W1's to get "ready" for something new. The W1 fits between the V6 and W2 and it's being updated to sonoma and will get a color shine screen and have Asus' zero bright dot warranty....... I guess you'll just have to mark my words, because the Z71v's, W3s, W2,s all have to show up before the current models are refreshed..... but in a month or so, remember this post.

Justin you really KNOW nothing about what you sell.
I told you THAT ASUS SAID AT THE CEBIT2005 THE W2 IS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE W1.
    Is it clear like that?
Maybe you should sell cars and forget computers because your knowledge
    is very limited.
    Ho my God.You become ridiculous
And Asus will NEVER RELEASE A NEW W1 NEVERRRRRRRRR.
    So stop giving wrong information
And if you want to bet with me 2000 dollars, that the w2 is the replacement of the w1, i'm your man.
So you gonna send me a w3v for free if i win.And all the forum is the witness.
So are you a player justin?

Hmmmm this is becoming a very heated discussion....

Well, not sure about W1 or W2, but one thing for sure and Asus have intended on doing was releasing a "new" version of their popular M6N series in the exact same chassis with Sonoma platform.

So if they are willing to do that with the M6 series, I don't see why not keep the W1 to expand their line up. Especially when they are heading towards a "power by asus" lineup, vs their other "build on asus" OEM lineup.

Hey you are in a public discussion thread, so no invite needed. Or are you too stupid to realize this is a "public" discussion forum.

If you have anything between an individual in this thread or any thread, please take it offline. If you feel the discussion between you and another individual should not be commented by someone else, taken take it off line.

The more comments out of your mouth in a public forum only make you look more stupid as you show nothing but immature action in this forum.

    Enough said.

Hey geek_mania why don't you learn English before you post here, your grammar is atrocious. In addition, your name is retarded and probably a reflection of your limited intellect.

I guarantee you would not have the balls to say this stuff face to face with someone so I suggest you end with your meaningless incoherent rants.

Eh...not everyone in the world speaks English as their first language. I agree with the rest of the sentiment of your post, but it's probably not fair to bully a person just because English is not their first language.

Not that I really want to get involved on this one, however, the W1 is coming back with an upgrade. It will be a sonoma with radio and tv.
