    Hi Can someone please help?!!!!

    1. When I plug a LCD projecter/exernal monitor into the W2V laptop - it shows everything fine, until I play a video clip embedded in a PPT presentation. The clip plays fine on the laptop monitor but not on the other projector/external screen (just a black rectangle where the movie should be). Can't be a video card issue - as my old viao works fine. Is there some setting I need to make this work? I really need to make this work - as I need to show clients movie clips. The only work around I have is to select external monitor only - and then it works fine (but I need them on both)

    2. When I put the Asus W2V into hibernation - it won't wake up! The restoring windows bar appears and runs to the end, but then.... nothing. Only option is to turn system off and then go through the whole verication disk system when it is turned on again. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    1. For some reason, the video will only play on the primary output device, so set the external display to be the primary device. You need to do this when it is plugged in, and the setting will make no difference to what you see when it is not plugged in.

    2. Regarding the resume from hibernation problems I suggest you read the recent thread about this problem on the Z63, and a search for "hibernation" in the Asus forum will reveal other threads over the past months.

    Hope this helps,

    John

I've had your projector incident happen to me before... I think it may have to do with the video format; is it an avi? If not, try playing any random avi file and see if it shows up on the projector/projection. I think I heard somewhere that only avi files can play properly on projections... I could be wrong though.

Thanks very much for your help! The setting external as primary worked! Will investigate the hibernation issue. Cheers!
