    ASUS W3J media buttons - configurable?

    hey guys

    Is it at all possible to configure somewhere what the media buttons on the left hand side of hte laptop will do? i wana basically route their function to the DVD program of my choice. any help is appreciated.

    Has anyone successufully used this HControl hack recently on this machine? I'm not really dead set on changing the shortcuts, but it would be nice to do!

    I htink I will once I get home tonight.. it should be safe regardless.. if anything u can restore to the back hcontrol and everything should be okay

    but as for the OP, the one ledzepp showed u is the only media button configure program that I know of

    If I currently owned the laptop, I wouldn't hesitate to try out the hack, but at this point I'm just shopping. I'm curious if other people have more info on it, so please report back and let us know how it worked out for you.

    in retrospect it actually is a moot point. im perfectly happy with the media buttons and their functions as is. Asus really put some thought into the W3J and its easy to see.
