It's end of line so there is no new W3's, however, look around at dealers they may have old stock in their inventory.

Agreed. The W3V is old old technology now... heck even the W3J is old, too. Better getting old technology than old old technology... LOL.

The V2 would be a good substitution though.

Gentech doesn't have any W3 models in stock. No one does.

I want a W3J though. Very much. They were stupid to discontinue the W3; best line of notebooks Asus ever made, along with the also discontinued V6. I want a W3s or a V6s :(

Then what did I link??? no where on there does it say out of stock or backorder.

edit: even tried to add it to my cart to check and it allowed me to do so just fine.

Use search and type in w3v, not always will every product be on the front page, usually only highlights or hot sellers.

This wasn't the front page, that was a listing of all the Asus Ensemble and barebone models currently sold by Gentech PC...

Hey wait a sec....You have more to gain than I do :p Doesn't matter though, cause I'm gonna be right ;) :p :D nyah beat that!

Tell me what Ken says. Theres a page on his site that has a lot of the older models, like W3V, V6V, etc. All of which are on Sonoma or Yonah chips and EoL models. I wonder why they are still up there...

Kind of a late reply, but I was browsing W3 series threads and portable one does still have a few W3J in stock, as do ExcaliburPC and Agearnotebooks I believe.

im using a w3v right now as i type! damn this baby is nice, really think that it is the most aesthetically pleasing notebook ASUS ever made! (along with the v6). however, it did have cooling issues linked to its design, seeing that its a pretty small laptop with ALOT of stuff crammed into it! anyways, lookin forward to the new G1s...or F8 if it impresses me enuf!!

Typing on the W3J. I recently got it use from someone else. I sold my brother the W2V and bought the W3J from the same person. It looks and feels pretty nice, but no where near the W2V. I even got the W2V for cheaper!!
