    Greetings,

I am going to buy a W7J with a Core 2 Duo CPU.
I am concern of the speed of onboard 512MB DDR2.

Since the CPU I am going to buy runs at 667 and
I remember someone or even the official site wrote that
    the onboard 512MB DDR2 is only 533.

And then one of the technical support in ASUS Club Hong Kong
say that, they will bundle the onboard memory with the SAME
    speed as the CPU.

So, I want to ask your guys who own a W7J with FSB667 CPU
the speed of your onboard 512MB DDR2.

I think the answer can be retrieve by cpu-z (current version 1.38).

Thanks for your time for reading and helping out. ;)

While I don't have the model you're talking about, I do have experiences with both speeds. There isn't really any performance different...the higher latencies of the 667 make it effectively as fast as 533. The only time that 667 will significantly beat 533 is for *massively massive* high bandwidth and high memory applications.

The onboard module on mine has 533. But as night_2004 said, there is no speed difference between 533 with a CL4 or 667 with a CL5.
