    Hello,
I have reinstalled Vista on a ASUS W7S after a disk upgrade. Everything works fine, except that the fan is always at full speed. I have installed the PowerGear utility, the hotkey is active, the machine seems to switch properly between Normal/Game/Quiet Office/Battery Saving modes, this is confirmed by NB Probe software, still the fan is always at full speed. This is noisy, and will probably shorten the fan life. Is there an utility that I would have missed to reinstall to manage the fan in smart mode ? I checked the BIOS, flashed to most recent version, there is no fan control in the BIOS setup panel.
Thank yo for any help !
