Looking a little closer they are advertising the W90Vp-A1 at benchmarks of 15,000... That benchmark was with a Dual core processor...
Look at the new results for the Xtreme edition quad core x9300, 20,000+ score

Once we get the PLL we should be able to over come any OC limitations, i just havent bothered to crack mine open looking for it Yet !!.
-
...and here I thought this was going to be about the chrome and black mesh vents or the leatheresque trim up by the hinge.
I have not yet found a reason that I would need to overclock my lowly q9000 past TurboGear's stock 15%. A QX9300 at even 5% on this machine is going to be impressive. -
Yes a Qx9300 is going to be awesome and its my next upgrade for sure . I want to make sure though that the PLL is cracked so we can really OC this thing the way its meant to be . Id like to get my 9600 up to 3.6 ghz-3.8 before i take the plunge. The cooling system on this thing is pretty beastly .

Even constantly running the quad at TurboGear's 15% OC doesn't seem to effect internal temps all that much either. These will be overclocking beasts if/when someone figures out how to open up that QX9300 beyond the TurboGear clocks.
That 4ghz 20,000 3dmark score doesn't seem so pie-in-the-sky once you experience just how cool these run. -

The only hidden thing I have seen so far is the fact my A1 came with lightscribe software installed on it but that blueray player is not a blueray drive

its a blueray drive, I am sure it burns dvd's but I am pretty sure it does not have lightscribe, as the lightscribe diagnostics tool said that no compatible drives were found.

The qx9300 is definitely a tempting and welcomed upgrade for the future. But does anybody have an idea when prices will start to go down for this processor (because it is expensive)?
As for the cooling system, I have seen a couple of comments about the w90 having a good cooling system. Would anybody recommend a separate notebook cooler for this system? And if so what are the best coolers out there? I saw the NZXT CRYO LX, which looked pretty good but would like to know of others..
thanks -

The Cryo is the only cooler that comes to mind for me, but since the internal cooling is so good and there really are not a lot of vents on the bottom I think just a lift or tilt stand is the way to go. Save some $$$ and less to carry in an already heavy/full bag.
