Hopefully this will help those of you that haven't yet submitted you ASUS Warranty card.
In spite of the fact that ASUS just released the G71Gx-A1, the address on the warranty card is incorrect, and if you try and send it to that address, you will get a "Return To Sender" from the USPS. How convenient!!
The USPS even managed to print the new address where the warranty should be mailed on the return tag. Couldn't they have just sent it to the address the printed on the envelope? Apparently the 1 year forwarding period was up.
In any case, here is the new address to mail warranty cards to:
Asus Computer International - Notebook Warranty
800 Corporate Way
Fremont, CA 94539
Once again, thanks to ASUS and the USPS for their lack of communication and incompetence w.r.t. warranty submission.

We apologize for the inconvenience. I will inform our shipping department to extend the address change service request for our USPS mailers, since it appears we still have warranty card mailers reflecting our previous corporate address.
-
Marked for later.
-
Yea, mine was returned by USPS as well. Luckily, I had time to re-send it with the new address.
-
Ya well...I just got my warranty card returned to sender today...Kinda annoying because I spent $6.00 on Priority and Confirmation Delivery. So, now I will have to ship it to the right address.
Thanks for the information ren3g7ade. BTW, Where did you find out the new address from?
EDIT: And woooow! 12 Gigs of ram man? That is intense!
Thanks,
Adam -
I got the new address from the USPS and verified it with ASUS Warranty Support.

Wish I had seen this post BEFORE I mailed mine in, came back this past week with "FORWARD TIME EXP".
The date on the yellow return sticker is 9/30/09 so ASUS hasn't got their forwarding turned back on as of that date. -
Doh! I wished I had seen this before I mailed mine in as well. Just got it returned to me. Free bump!

can we get a sticky on this?
