It was an absolute nightmare to deal with asus warranty. I finally got through all the red tape and they informed me today they are not covering my cracked screen but gave me no answer as to why. The cracked screen is clearly covered in accordance to their warranty claims. I bought the computer mainly because they offered the best warranty. Don't be fooled by this company as I was.

I don't know if you are in the US or not, but, IMO, Asus warranty service is absolutely terrible in the US. It has to really make you think twice about buying anything Asus.

    It doesn't surprise me.

They kept my G73 for 6 weeks and I spent countless hours attempting to get status updates through their worthless reps. MSI is the same as Asus in terms of poor warranty service.

If buying a high-end gaming system, it's better just to go with Alienware (next-day on site technician) or Sager if you live near your reseller (he can ship you the parts and you ship the defective ones back).

Every other company is either slow, incompetent or terrible (or a mix of all three).

I sent my g74 in for a screen exchange (stuck pixel) and got it back fixed 4 days later. I actually give props to the Asus techs for fixing it in 1 day and sending it back to me with 1 day shipping. I live in California, bay area btw.

some of the ASUS laptop come with a 1year accident damage warranty on it. They will replace your damaged computer if you call them.

Just like JOSEA mentioned by "they come with accidental warranty coverage" it's really "you have the option to sign up for it within the first 30 days" or it's not in effect.

The warranty is also depended on where you bought your computer. I bought mine from the Microsoft Store, and ASUS does not warrant it. Also from stores like Cosco, Best Buy and a few more.

It is on their warranty site. Sorry, don't remember or have the link.

The warranty service can also be dependent on where you buy the machine. A lot of resellers can help facilitate a repair to help it go a little smoother.
