Several sites I see mentioned N63JN has 1366x768 screen... so we won't get full HD on it?

I'm looking for the UL20 also, does not look like they changed much except the move to DDR3 and Turbo Boost, would think it would stay in the same price range it's in now since not much changed. Any info on when and where to order for the U.S.? It's to bad they did not make it a i3 Core.

Black color sounds good, it would become the ultimate would be if it had a backlit keyboard.

Almost April and no Bamboo or NX series models even have an ETA? I guess I can still pray for a Bamboo 13" with a 335/330 and backlit keyboard, but I shouldn't hold my breath.

    Hi guys...

Asus UL80VT cames with an old SU7300

Wich model of the magazine is similar or better than this, always in the UL series with a long batery life. Not a K or A series.

    Thanks.

Great ! Another (2nd) Full HD (optional) 15.6" laptop out from Asus. Its the second laptop after G51Jx which has Full HD option upto 16" laptop screen size.

But no words about this new entrant here ??? Do the public do not like Full HD screens ? Lets see when it hits the stores :D Even its NOT yet listed at www.asus.com :D Should not happen like N61JA-A1 which is simply disappeared from stores in USA :(

the JT consumer models no longer come with glossy palm rests! And they will be using ulv i core processors :)

the JT business models will come with rubberized palm rests. sort of like thinkpads i assume?

15.6" N63 has 1080 (FHD) screen option, but not 17.3" N73?! Are you serious ASUS? Come on, it's a no-brainer. Put the FHD screen from the G73 in the N73 for goodness sake.

Sorry to say, but many people here do not bother for FHD screen, I do not know why ? May be they consider Asus laptops like what you are referring, for gaming and may be they do not need higher resolution for games. But really it (FHD) should be there or at least optional upgrade for laptops > 15" screen.

I don't know about actual availability, but Asus are now listing the UL30JT on their website:

    http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=dh1loes9V1IGKwCA&content=specifications

According to that link, however, the UL30JT is only offered with i5 ULV, not i7 ULV, which is a pity but it possibly because the notebook is marketed as a long-battery-life machine and the i7 may guzzle too much power, even in its ULV form.

You can download a very basic manual from the link and, curiously, Asus have a USB 3.0 driver available for download on the UL30JT webpage, yet the machine appears to be spec'ed with only USB 2.0

Glad I'm not the only one scratching their head about this. A 17" multimedia laptop and especially one with a blu-ray player (as you configure the N71 and N73) should have a 1080p screen as option at very least. It seems at the moment there's a world-wide shortage of 17" 1080 screens - at least a North America shortage. The only (affordable) 17 incher with FHD you can get is the ASUS G73 (if you can get one!). Nothing from; Dell, HP, Acer, Sony... and yet quite a few 15.6" with 1080. How does that make sense? Come on ASUS, there's a gap in the market for you to plug!

And yes, I know they advertise the Dell Studio 17 with a 'full HD' screen option but a) you can't buy it because that option is not available to configure b) it runs hotter than an armadillo's hide at a West Texas picnic on the Fourth of July c) Dell's sales/support sucks
(from what I read in reviews and discusssions sites)

N43 is coming out in october in australia the guy i talked to mentioned some "setbacks" due to the 400 series gfx card

Oh and the N53 is $1499 (AU) but everything is overpriced in australia compared to US so starting price would be 1200 or even 1000 (US)
