I hope someone can help me on this problem, it is driving me crazy. Whenever I get a new notebook, I always update Windows, install all my favorite programs then clone it and install the clone in the notebook. That way I always have the original HD to use if needed. I have done this a dozen times. But I am having a problem getting to the HD in my ASUS X200CA. I am able to lift the keyboard up from the bottom on both sides and the front, but the back part underneath the screen is really tight. There must be some little "trick" to releasing the rear of the keyboard so I can replace the HD. There seems to be something by the hinges that is holding the keyboard, but I can't lift the front enough to get a good view. Any ideas would be helpful.![]()

Try removing the rubber feet on the bottom, Asus often hides screws under those.

Hutsady thanks for the reply, I believe you are correct. I have been watching a YouTube video that is in Russian and he was pointing to the obvious screws and to the two rubber feet by the rear hinges. From the tone of his voice and the pointing, I thought there was something special about the rubber feet. I ordered a Supereyes B005 USB Digital Microscope Endoscope and should have it delivered this Friday. I will use that to take a good look inside and decide what to do at that point. .............................. Couldn't wait, I liked your idea and went for it and yes their were screws under the rear rubber feet, very tricky indeed. Now what am I going to do with my Supereyes B005? I guess I will be inspecting a lot of coins and bugs. Thanks Hutsady

Glad to hear that was it. I upgraded a friends Asus netbook and some screws were under the feet on that one too. It was a different model so I wasnt 100% sure your model had them there as well.
That microscope you got looks cool. I get into Macro photography with my camera so that could be a cool additional toy to have.
