I bought the X750L some month ago and since I'm just facing problems with it. WIN 8.1 was preinstalled and regullary updated, but the laptop started to freeze regullary. Yesterday the system again freezed and since than I can not make the OS run anymore. I tried many things, but now I'm desperate so I want to install a new OS (WIN 7 or maybe LINUX).
The problem is, that I'm nor able to boot a DVD with WIN 7, it just start, the WIN logo show up, but then the screen turn black and that is it.
my question is: how to format the laptop to be able to install a new OS? I'm able to access BIOS.

Go into the bios and change the boot order to the optical drive first.

I changed it: to DVD Drive and also to USB, but it does not want to install any OS. It starts, but after the WIN logo it stops and the screen turn black.

It sounds like it is still booting to the storage drive where you have Windows installed. You're sure you selected 'Save changes and exit' in the BIOS after you made the boot order change?

Make sure the HDD or USB option is set as first boot device.
Or you can press F8 to select a boot device during boot.
