I was always one who did not care about numbers. They mean absolutely nothing to me. I look at a screen and i can say either its good or its bad. A simple minded person is my quality i guess. This is the screen that is shipping with the z70v http://www.samsung.com/Products/TFTLCD/NotePC/LTN154P1/LTN154P1.htm
I am almost 99% tis the same screen in all the z70 lineup.

Why are we still on this subject? How'd it start in the first place? Everyone here knows that the Z70's screens are one of the best around. I never saw a complaint on it. I too don't care about numbers, they vary on all the time. I just know that it's bright, extremely sharp, and you can see it in almost all angles. Nuff said.

No, not at all. The size of Cori's sig reflects the grandeur and majesty of the great Z70va!!! :asus:

I currently have a M6Ne and from what i've read, it's the same laptop as the z70va. I do have to comment on some issues about the screen.

It's not as bright has it may seem. Sure, windows, games, will look great, it's a wonderful screen. But when it come to picture, you may have the biggest disapointement. I can't watch it on the laptop, all my photo are way too dark. Even my old 14'' crt back at 1995 i think give me clear image.

So if you want to vizualize picture or work with photoshop, try it before. Take one of your picture and test it on your desktop, friends, other laptop and so on. Else than that, it's an amazing laptop.

ummm, that's not normal. first off, your m6n is NOT the same screen as a z70v/a/va. The chassis is ALMOST the same, but the screens on the z70 series are WSXGA+. I believe yours is either SXGA+ or WXGA. Secondly, do you have your brightness turned all the way up? If you have your Asus ACPI drivers installed then FN+F6 will turn the brightness up. Also make sure you have your resolution set to the max of your LCD. LCD's look AWEFUL and unfocused if you don't have it at their native resolution. My screen is a WSXGA+, so I run it at 1680x1050; if i run any less, it'll become blurry. The only exception is in games, because you can't really see it (althought again, if you run native resolution, the quality looks waaayy sharper, but may require antialiasing because you start to notice jaggies).

    The M6Ne= 15.1" - SXGA - 1400x1050
    The Z70Va= 15.4" - WSXGA - 1680x1050

"Else" than that, you are correct.

Im surprised that it has a 25ms response. I thought laptops have caught up to desktop lcd's as far as response time, I thought I did notice some ghosting while play css.
