    Well i would say that the Z92T is more future proof as you suggested because it has the turion X2 which is 64 bit compatible. However, isnt it out of your price range if you only want to spend $1250 US?

    None the less, the Z96J is an excellent laptop too, and won't disappoint you, and it may be a little cheaper. But if you are looking for futureproof, you may want to wait for the merom core 2 duo to come out in the Z96J and then buy it...unless it's already come out there!

    (in which case I'm very jealous since im waiting for it here in Australia before i buy my W3J)

    you can always get the Merom CPU later and upgrade when you need it (Z96j)

    It might void the warranty though
