Hi guys - For gaming and general use - would a c90s be a better laptop than the F3SV-B1?

Considering same processor, HD etc... I know the c90s can have a better videocard and glossy screen..

I've read alot of raves about the F3SV-B1 being an outstanding laptop and mixed reviews about the c90s.

    Questions:

    1) For gaming - would the c90S be alot better? or marginally?

    2) build quality - would either have an advantage for being cooler and better/stronger shell+screen?

    3) they both are about the same price - which would you choose and why (briefly)?

IT's such a hard decision (as you all know when you were/are deciding which laptop model to purchase).. thanks for input!

The C90 has less battery life, but is much better for games

I wouldn't get either, but that's just me. The F3SV isn't really going to perform to what I'd expect if I wanted to game.

THe C90 is no better than a desktop, imo. Bad battery life, hot. Much better at games than the F3, though.

If it will never leave your desktop, get the C90, of the two. If you want much of a portability standard, go for the F3, and know you're losing a big gaming aspect.

The F8, or w/e the 14in one coming 'soon' might be around the same price range, if you can wait.

First, you would not be able to configure them with the same processor. The C90 comes with a desktop processor with a faster FSB. The processor in the F3SV doesn't compete with it in speed. In CPU intenstive games the C90 would win. (Plus you can over clock it to higher speeds with the provided software - depending on the processor you select).

The graphics card/chip in the C90 is also more powerful than the one in the F3SV. The C90 comes with a 8600M GT while the F3SV comes with a GS card, the GT has twice the stream processors and has been tested to out preform the GS by a significant amount.

While I would normally think the F3SV would on paper run cooler and have more battery life (because of the CPU and GPU) reviews seem to suggest they are about equal in that reguard.

The C90 also has a more powerful (more pixel) 2MP swivel web camera.

As you may have figured out by reading up to this point I'd buy the C90 over the F3SV. ;)
