    Can someone list the model lineup related to case construction? Which ones have aluminum cases, carbon Fiber, Plastic, etc. ?

    Are some lines built tougher than other lines like Del has the Inspirion and the tougher Latitude line.

    Lets make this simple. As far as the current lineup goes..... they are call carbon fiber encased plastic... with the exceptions of below.

    All AMD models, A series, Z71 series..... they're plastic

    The following are all carbon fiber but have aluminum touches:
    The W1 / W2 - lid and palmrest are brushed aluminum

    The W3 - the lid is brushed aluminum

    The V6 - the palm rest is brushed aluminum
