so i experienced problems with the speakers of the asus g1s, as i write below, the speakers do not work in windows, but work while booting and the sound also works with earbuds and i tryed to reinstall the drivers but that didn't help....
hmm, well i don't really know how it works.... the problem is that there is no sound problem when the machine is booting, i don't know if you know how it works on the g1s and similiar series but when the machine boots there is like a sound of an explosion and that works completely without problems, so the speakers actually have to work... but when you are in windows then, they do not...
i have actually read some comments about exactly the same problem in this thread and i trhink that even in some other, where people experienced exactly the same problem.... booting sound works but windows sound does not... a person even tried to reinstall windows, drivers and several others ways how to get it working but without success.... the only way how i've rad so far how to get this solved is to send it to asus... they replace the motherboard and then it works for some time, while people have experiened exactly the same problem after several weeks.
i do not really know it works here in america, because i am practically new to this country, but in my homecountry, ther czech republic in europe it works that way that when you have 3 or more reclamations the manufacturer either replaces the machine or gives you the money you have on your receipt back, and it is protected by the law...
so when i'll go to fedex to shiop the whole laptop to asus what do i have to tell them or what do i have to tell asus to get my money back for the shipping costs ??? how does this work ??? or is it actually possible to drive the laptop somewhere in person by car, somewhere in los angeles, so that it wouldn't be needed to have complications with shipping ???
so i guess there is nothing else i can do then to ship it to asus, right ? or is there anyone who has solved this problem otherwise ?
thank you very much for your answers !!!

ummm, what version of windows do you have? and we have a similar law... google the "lemon law"

Go to Device Manager and manually remove the device drivers. Reboot. Run Driver Cleaner Pro. Reboot. Reinstall drivers. Reboot.

i did that and it didn't help... i am really desperate :/ what shall i do ???
what do you mean with the google lemon law ???
can anyone help me how o solve this problem ? i would be very happy because it freaks me out... -
1. Try the sound card manufacturer's drivers (sorry if I already suggested that). I think they fixed the problem for some of the people that had it (not for all of them though).
I would suspect driver issues first. Try running the computer in Live Linux for a while, does the sound work properly there? If so, then it's clearly a Windows/drivers problem.
2.
