you should have 4HDDs, 1 of them OS installed and other 3 empty. check your HDDs again.

Look in disc management and see what your totals are there.

    disk 1 298 gb: 149gb healthy(primary partition); (D :) 149 GB Healthy(active, primary partition) ntfs

disk 0 298gb: 19.53gb healthy (primary partition); OS (C :) 74.5 gb ntfs Healthy(system, boot, page file, active, crash dump, primary partition); DATA (E :) ntfs healthy (logical drive)

i can't do anything to the 149 gb healthy primary one, the only option when i right click is delete volume and help. i can open the 149 active, primary partition.

basically you only have 2 hard drives, and one of them is partitioned into 2. if you want to make it so you only see two hard drives, you'll have to format it again deleting the partitions on "disk 0". as for the space. As for the 320 gig hdd showing only 298gig, thats due to hard drive manufacturers and windows using different measurements of space size. And lastly, looks like your second partition on "disk 1" doesnt seem have a drive name assigned to it, go back to "Computer management", right click on "149 gb healthy (primary partition)", then click on "Change drive letter and paths" and "add" a letter to it. See how that goes.

Yeh gotta love the partitioning scheme... if you don't have any data on the first partition on disk 1 you can delete it and then extend the D: partition with disk management.

If you want to go the full nine you can use a tool like gparted to resize the system volume. Make sure to do a chkdsk /f /r c: and chkdsk /f /r e: and reboot first. DO NOT delete or extend the first partition on disk 0, that is the recovery partition.

I don't have the option of "Change drive letter and paths" for disk 1: 149gb healthy(primary partition), the only options that I have for that one is "delete volume" and "help".
If i delete the volume for that one and then right click on the 2nd partition and select extend volume, will there be anything else hat needs to be done? Will I have to do any rebooting or anything?
