Do they make laptops with a video card equal to or better than the NVIDIA 6800?
-
No, there are none in your area of Malaysia. You can also look at the systems in your area with ATI's x700. It's a step down, but it's still a pretty powerful card, and you can get it in a smaller 15.4" notebook, too.
Edit: Sorry what i meant to say was that there aren't any in your area of Malaysia. Sorry to mislead you. I had someone contact me from Malaysia not too long ago, there's not much of a selection is his part of the country. He later told me that he had to drive down to Thailand in order to get one. Think it was like a few hours from where he was. -

Well they have a 256mb 6800 in the Z81sp......... but for 95% of people a 128mb x700, even though a step down can save you 3.5-4 pounds on weight and about 1.5" in thickness........ as well as get 4 times the battery life...... along with still doing some serious gaming.... I'm of course talking about going with a V6va..... but the Z70va and W2v and Z83v have the same graphics card as well.

Yes! Its called the Ati mr x1600, the 3dmark05 between the two (6800 and x1600 but also x800) are very similar. Watch out for this card!

When is it coming out?
-
Early spring but nothing has been confirmed.
-
They are testing the Asus A7G. -
I really hope that ATI expands this line-up by the time Vista comes out!

I wish I wasnt forced to buy a Laptop by Jan (for school). So then I could wait for the new spring models of asus.
But after hearing about how wonderful the screens are for this first shipment only, I knew I had to get one now. That way I could take it to Maui, Hawaii for X-mas. The X700 should be very capable for my CSS and HL2. I'll try Call of Duty 2, and GTA:SA aswell
I havnt been on an Airliner for a long time (only small planes recently), and was wondering what kinda power source they offer, if any, in coach? Thanks. -
I really wished that they offered a power supply in the coach section, but unfortunately most airlines don't. The only company that I'm aware of that does is JetBlue, but I think you have to bring a power adapter (for a car) onto the plane.
-
I know that American has SOME airplanes with DC power jacks in coach, but my experience has been that there are lots more that don't. Depends on the make/model of jet. Never been on a United flight with power. Southwest's 737s don't have them unless the new ones have them--737-300s I think?
Whoops. Am I contributing to a hijack (thread not airplane)? Sorry.
